In 1987 Jorge Ord??ez Selections was founded opening to the United States a range of Spanish wines never seen. Single handedly he changed the less than stellar image Spanish wines had by selecting exceptional, small, privately owned wineries and then properly handling their wines with the respect they deserve. He insisted on temperature-controlled shipping and storage, vastly improving the quality of what landed on our tables. On Thursday, May 23rd we will be tasting a range of Spanish wines from Jorge Ord??ez Selections. We are so pleased to have the second-generation owner and winemaker, Monica Ord??ez joining us to present the wines, giving us a first-hand opportunity to learn from the actual producer. As always, there will be Cheeses and Savories from Fromage in Old Saybrook to accompany the wines and included in the cost of the ticket is a bottle of Spanish wine to go!
