These beautiful, sunny days and cool, crisp evenings have a way of invigorating one’s senses.  Recently our Team came across a new vintage of a now perennial favorite – Altos Ibericos Crianza Rioja.  A wine with the same power to invigorate and energize, all while delivering distinctively Spanish character.

Part of the Torres Family portfolio of properties – it’s no surprise this label over delivers on all quality markers.  Established over 150 years ago, the Torres’ have made it their mission to build a project, worthy of their legacy of course, in every major wine region throughout Spain.  One of our absolute favorites has been the Altos Ibericos line from Rioja.  Within Rioja there are three key regions and not all were created equal.  Rioja Alavesa is the highest elevated sub-region and it happens to produce more world-class wine than other two.  The Torres Family utilizes only fruit from this zone to craft wine for their Rioja project.  As a result, their quality statements (Joven, Crianza, Reserva) tend to be a bit pricier than others – however, let us assure you … the performance is well worth cost of admission!
