The Honey Deuce

Today we share with you the official cocktail of the U.S. Open.  In 2006 Grey Goose Vodka hired restauranteur Nick Mautone to create a signature cocktail for the Open and the Honey Deuce was born. Its beauty is in its simplicity using only three easy ingredients.  One of the key charms and distinguishing factors of the drink is the obligatory honeydew melon-ball skewer (representing a sleeve of tennis balls) that not only acts as a garnish but also adds a refreshing accent.  The 4th of July weekend is right around the corner, so why not put down the canned seltzers, get yourself a few easy ingredients and whip up a batch of Honey Deuces. Point, Set, Match!

The Honey Deuce

In a tall Collins glass filled with crushed ice add:

  • 1 ¼ Ounces Grey Goose Vodka
  • 3 Ounces Fresh Squeezed Lemonade
  • 1/2 Ounce Chambord

Stir to combine ingredients.  Garnish with a skewer of three honeydew melonballs.
