The French Martini

With Valentines Day right around the corner we offer you something seductive to drink, lovely to the eye and oh so subtly sweet.  The French Martini first surfaced in New York City in the 1980’s and had a good run into the 1990’s.  It is a fruited martini embracing a delightful combination of pineapple juice and raspberry liqueur.  We like it shaken and served painfully cold in a chilled martini stem.  It is a drink that will set the mood for a romantic Valentines Day… the rest is up to you.

The French Martini

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add:

• 2 Ounces of Well-Bred Vodka (we use Ketel One)
• 1 Ounce Pineapple Juice
• ½ Ounce Chambord

Shake till your arms hurt, then shake some more.  Strain into a chilled Martini stem.  Garnish with a spear of fresh raspberries.
