Cynar Margarita

Last week we hosted a Tequila Cocktail Clinic where we were introduced to the Cynar Margarita. This rendition of the drink adds the bitter-sweet character from Cynar Amaro and spicy edge from Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur.  It is a cocktail loaded with big flavors and needs the richness of Anejo tequila to carry the other ingredients.  If you like the Negroni, you are going to love the Cynar Margarita.       

CYNAR MARGARITA

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

• 1 ½ Ounces Anejo Tequila
• ½ Ounce Cynar Amaro
• ¼ Ounce Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
• 1 ½ Ounces RIPE Margarita mix

Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail saucer.  Top with 1 dash of orange bitters and garnish with lime wedge.
