Today’s clever cocktail dates back to the 1700’s and has Spanish origins. The name “Sangaree” comes from the root word “Sangre” meaning blood which no doubt refers to the deep ruby color of the drink. It is a cocktail that can be made with a number of different base spirits from brandy to rum or whiskey. We have chosen brandy as our base but leave open to you the option of swapping it out for your favorite distillate. The Sangaree date back over 250 years but the combination of ingredients still translates to today’s taste in drink. Cheers!
