Bourbon n’ Joe

It would be an understatement to say that we love Coffee and Bourbon.  The two are typically a part of our day, so we decided to combine them into what we call Bourbon n’ Joe.  The drink takes a bit of advance notice to make a Cold Brew Bourbon infusion as a base for our cocktail, but the time and effort are well worth the results.  Perfect as a brunch pick-me-up or after dinner alongside dessert, Bourbon n’ Joe is a great sipper for the fall.  

Bourbon n’ Joe

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

• 2 Ounces Cold Brew Bourbon*
• 2 Ounces Cold Brew Coffee
• ½ Ounce Heavy Cream
• ½ Ounce Maple Syrup

Shake and strain over fresh ice into a lowball.  Finish with 1 Dash of Chocolate Bitters (optional).  

*Cold Brew Bourbon

In a large mason jar add:

• 12 Ounces Well Bred Bourbon (we used Makers Mark)
• ½ Cup Dark Roast Whole Coffee Beans

Shake well and then let steep in a cool place for 24/48 hours (to taste).  Strain and discard beans.
