Blueberry Daiquiri

Fresh Blueberries are on the menu today as we take these delicious seasonal treats and infuse them into a summer classic. The Blueberry Daiquiri is a frozen cocktail that takes the classic Daiquiri blend of rum, sugar and lime and adds the flavor of fresh blueberries, taking it to the next level. Break out the blender and your favorite rum, grab a few pints of berries, a bag of limes and settle into this cool, sweet-tart frozen cocktail. It is a refreshing treat for a hot summer day and if the kids get jealous, whip up a virgin batch without the rum (add a bit of water to compensate for the rum) so everyone can play.

Blueberry Daiquiri

In a blender add:

• 1 ½ Ounces of White Rum (Bacardi is our go to)
• 1 Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
• ½ Ounce Simple Syrup
• ½ Cup Fresh Blueberries (washed and stemmed)
• ½ Cup Ice

Blend on high until smooth and thick (if not thick enough add a bit more ice).  Pour into a tall glass, serve with a long straw and garnish with a wedge of lime.
