Añejo Highball

 

Today we share with you a tall drink (aka Highball) that was created by cocktail guru Dale DeGroff. It is a variation on the Dark and Stormy adding accents of Orange Curacao and Angostura to the original.  These accents really take the cocktail to the next level.  As is always the case, a great cocktail is made with quality ingredients.  We suggest a well-bred Añejo and Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao to get the best from the recipe.  Cheers!

 

 Añejo Highball

 

In a tall Highball glass filled with ice add:

  • 1 ½ Ounces of Añejo Rum (We used Pampero Aniversario)
  • ½ Ounces Orange Curaçao (We suggest Pierre Ferrand Dry)
  • ¼ Ounce Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

 

Top with Ginger Beer.  Garnish with Orange and Lime Wheels
